HOW LONG DOES PERMANENT COSMETICS LAST?

your tattoo will last as long as it’s maintained. the pigment can last 1–3 years depending on skin type and lifestyle. re-touch sessions are generally required annually.

IS THERE ANY DOWN TIME?

no there is no downtime or need to hide away after the treatments. redness and swelling may happen but goes away within a couple hours. your cosmetic tattoo will appear darker in color during healing.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS DURING HEALING?

it is best to keep your tattoo clean and dry. aftercare instructions will be given to you at the time of service. please reference the "aftercare" tab for further details on healing.

ARE RE-TOUCH APPOINTMENTS REQUIRED?

yes, touch up is required 6–8 weeks after the initial visit (included in initial price). permanent cosmetics procedures are usually a multiple session process. certain areas may not pick up during the first session and will need to be refilled. pigment color may need to be adjusted, thickness, etc. your touch up session is when we refine your tattoo to ensure it looks perfect for the whole year (:

MY BROWS ARE DONE HEALING BUT IT IS PATCHY. IS THIS NORMAL?

yes, once the color boost occurs, your brows are healed and may have a few areas where the color did not retain. we will touch them up at your 6-8 week visit which i include in the initial price.

IS THERE SCABBING WITH EYELINER?

there is some healing time involved but scabbing is minimal. you may experience some swelling 1-2 days after the procedure but subsides quickly.

IS PERMANENT COSMETICS PAINFUL?

pain is relative. topical numbing is used throughout the procedures to keep you comfortable. most clients say it feels/sounds like small scratches for brows, and eyeliner is relatively painless. however again, pain is relative and varies per each individual client.

WHAT ARE PIGMENTS MADE OF?

cosmetic tattoo pigments vary depending on the brand but are generally formulated with iron oxide, an ingredient safe on skin. all pigment suppliers are required to list their ingredients on their labels if you’re concerned about allergies (rare). keep in mind that people can develop allergies to anything, anytime. i use many different brands but am careful to pick pre-neutralized pigments so that your tattoo will not turn ashy (gray-ish or dull), blue, green, or any other strange color once healed.

How long does microblading take to heal?

healing time varies with each individual client, but on average it takes 2 weeks for scabbing to form and exfoliate off. the tattooed hair strokes will be covered with new skin, giving the appearance that your tattoo has disappeared. don't worry it hasn't! (= in the following weeks you will get a color boost as your newly generated skin settles. a good month should pass before we consider the process complete. it is important to be patient and not pick at any scabbing.

IT'S ONLY BEEN A FEW DAYS AND MY BROWS DISAPPEARED! WHAT HAPPENED?!

do not worry it will all come back and be the color you wanted! it is scary during the part where it scabs because it seems like the color is coming off altogether. you are regenerating new skin!  this new skin is on top of the hairstrokes but will pop through over time.
